Annual Nominating Committee – Volunteers Needed
Three volunteers are needed to serve on the Committee, which will be appointed at the October meeting.  The Committee will be charged with preparing a slate of candidates for the 2010-2011 Belle Aire Social Club Board of Directors.

Members are asked to please consider serving on the Nominating Committee or as a Club officer next year.  Call Ken Hixon (751-2596) if you would like to volunteer.

Belle Aire Social Club Magnetic ID Name Badges are $5.00 each, and the waiting time is approximately one week.  Payment is due with your order.  See Lin Taylor at the Social Club meetings or call 751-2486.

Next Meeting

The Belle Aire Social Club will have a Pot Luck Dinner on Monday, September 6th at the Mulberry Recreation Center.   Doors open at 6:00 p.m., dinner starts at 6:30 p.m.

Members are asked to bring a food dish for 10-12 people, according to the category below so we will have a variety of food for everyone.  Last names starting:

 A  to  J Main Dish
 K  to  M Dessert
 N  to  Z Salad/Veggies

Please mark your utensils/dishes so they can be returned after the meeting program.  No electrical outlets will be available.  Coffee, tea, and ice will be available and you can BYOB.

If you would like to share your recipe, bring a copy with your name included, and deposit it in the “recipe box” on the coffee table at the meeting.  Recipes will be given to Sara Castelli for the  www.thevillageofbelleaire.com  web site.

In addition, in response to member’s requests for periodic educational presentations, a SECO representative will give a presentation on “Storm Preparedness”. The presentation will last approximately 30 minutes including a question and answer period.  Since we’re now in the Florida hurricane season we hope the presentation is beneficial to our members.

Special thanks go out to Maureen Ricci, Izzie Ciotti, and Eileen Storcks for organizing the August Ice Cream Social and Bingo night, and to Jerry Lesser, Carl Johnson, and Becky Johnson for all their help.

Aloha from Barb, Bill, Carita and Don!

Plans are in place for a Belle Aire Luau on January 3, 2011.  We know many of you will be traveling to Hawaii September 26 to October 8, 2010.  While there you may see something Hawaiian to bring to our Luau to share with others at your table.

Barbara and Bill Allart and Carita and Don Shoemaker are co-chairing the Luau.  They made all the plans prior to going up north in the spring, will be returning in November or December, and look forward to a fun evening.  Complete details will be published in the Bugle next month.
